Ssup people! In this post I will cover game development span that took place in July, August and first half of September. The main focus lies on level design, particularly great underground levels at the moment. June was quite relaxing and somewhat unproductive. After events of previous post I was pretty exhausted. The beginning of summer brought immense chunk of heat which made any attempts to do work even more harder so I decided to take a break from gamedev for good. Hello everyone. It’s been nearly a month since my last post. I had material for at least two entries but hesitated to post them because I was in a middle of very intensive game development process. This time I went far beyond simple optimization and decided to completely change multimedia library for performance reasons. It took a while to get here but here it is - brand new update for Smintheus Beta. Unlike previous ones this one can be considered as a major update. It's not about bug fixes only but more of new things that were added to aid the gameplay. The course was set on making game more approachable. It has been casualized a bit and made the game somewhat easier as well.Read more...
